Thomas Eugene Thomas Esq., 55 of Phoenix Arizona, passed peacefully from this earth, in the arms of his wife, on the evening of April 13, 2002, at his home in the hills of Prescott. Thomas had been battling cancer for quite some time, and while there is great relief in knowing that the sad and painful part of his earthly journey is now over, his departure leaves an empty meaningful gap in the lives of those that he touched.

Thomas was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; the third of five children born to George and Marian Thomas. He was military trained at Annapolis where he became the bass in the Navy Choir. He left the Naval Academy in August 1966. He was later accepted into Officer’s Candidate School, where he graduated and served his country in the field of nuclear technology.

He later attended Penn State University where he received his B.A. in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He was then offered a full scholarship to Villanova School of Law where he earned his J.D. as an attorney. After many successful years of practicing law in Philadelphia, Thomas relocated to Phoenix, Arizona where he served as Legal Council for Mountain Bell for the State of Arizona.

He later moved on to Chief Legal Council and Vice President of Research and Development for Farnum Animal Products. His exposure and avid interest in animal health led him to co-found Micrel Limited, and then PRP Pharmaceuticals headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado, which continues to be a growing success in the development of health care for animals, both domestic and wild.

Thomas is survived by his proud mother, Marian Thomas; his devoted wife Kay; his two loving children, Thomas, and Tara; his three brothers, George, Stephen and Arthur and his sister Gail. A celebration of Thomas’ life will be held at the Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home located at 303 South Cortez, the corner of Cortez and Carleton Streets in Prescott at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow his memorial.
